(Posted 1/3/2002) A problem has been found with the installation program for the Aerobatics Library when installing on Windows 2000 and XP. A new version of the RCFS 2001 executable file (RCFS.EXE) is supposed to get copied to the RCFS 2001 installation directory on the hard drive during the installation of the Aerobatics Library but does not. The result is that RCFS 2001 crashes when it is run after the Aerobatics Library has been installed. To correct this problem, simply copy the RCFS 2001 executable file (RCFS.EXE) to your RCFS 2001 installation directory. The default installation directory for RCFS 2001 is C:\Program Files\Dave Brown Products\RCFS 2001. You should overwrite the existing RCFS.EXE with the one on the Aerobatics Library CD. After the file is successfully copied, RCFS 2001 will work fine and the new airplanes will be available for use. There is a significant change to the way joystick calibration is handled in version 1.1 from the way it was handled in 1.0!  You must calibrate the joystick from the new Joystick Calibration screen in RCFS 2001 after you set up the joystick in the Windows Control Panel.
