Setting the SimStar Joystick

Install RCFS 2001 into your computer.

If you have a joystick box with toggle switches for dual rates, Start with
the switches on the box all set to the "away from you" position.

Go to Control Panel,  Game Controllers, and "remove" any game devices in the
selected list.

Click the "Add" button

Now, from the complete list, select "SimStar", this should show up in the
window, and show status as "ok"

Now click on properties, then on the tab marked "Settings", and then on
"Calibration"

The callibration screen will ask you to center all of the controls, and
press a button. If you have a joystick box with toggle switches for the dual
rates, SEE BELOW BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING.

ANY TIME IT ASKS FOR YOU TO PRESS A BUTTON, simply flip the switch above the
right stick toward you, and then back away from you, This is the equivalent
of "pressing a button"

Now, go ahead and "press a button". (PAB)

The next screen asks for you to move the stick all around the box,and it
refers to the RIGHT stick.

Now it confirms neutral

Then throttle

Finally rudder
PAB
Now it should say that you have successfully calibrated.
Click on Finish

Click on APPLY     *****IMPORTANT*****

Click on OK

Exit to desktop, and run simulator

Read the screen about setting the Direct 3d HAL, and resolution, carefully.
